It didn’t have much stretch, and there wasn’t enough of it. While it didn’t subtract anything from the dish, it didn’t really add anything either.

It was piled high, but when we got down to the last half inch it’s just all naked chips. The ingredients are good, they’re just not permeating the dish.

General ingredient quality 2/2

It automatically gets a point for having guacamole, and the little pops of pineapple throughout were just spectacular. We really appreciated the freshness.

On their own, these chips are great—thin, crispy, and just the right amount of salty. However, in the context of nachos, these things were their downfall: when they got wet, they bent. When they were used for scooping, they typically broke. The salt could sometimes overpower the other flavors. There were a few chips on the bottom that had just dissolved completely.

While again, the freshness was nice, it lacked any actual spice. It was fruity and tangy, but a little more tomato would have added a necessary tang and could have carried a little bit of heat in there.
